It’s that time of year when Basil is growing faster than it can be used. If you are having that dilemma with Cinnamon Basil, we found a this wonderful recipe on the website of our sister New Orleans Unit.
- 2 quarts Water
- 1 Orange thinly sliced
- 3C Cinnamon Basil
- 3T Black Tea
- 1/4C – 1/3C Sugar (optional)
Bring the water to a boil and remove from the heat. Infuse heated water with tea, Cinnamon Basil, and Sugar(optional). Strain. Cool. Add slices of Orange and refrigerate. Serve over ice.
