Each year our unit participates in the Michigan Herb Associates Annual Conference.  Annie Gruber Magdowski was one of this year’s presenters. Since the theme for conference was “Every Plant is a Teacher” and the MHA 2018 Herb of the Year is Hops, Annie presented “What Chefs Are Creating with Craft Beer”.   She traveled around Michigan to see what chefs are creating with craft brews and hops.  This century’s old craft of brewing is more popular now than ever.  Based on her travels, Annie presented a slideshow journey of local hometown breweries, along with ideas on what you can create at home, including some recipes.
