Beer Cheese Spread – Annie

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded smoked cheddar cheese, or smoked cheese of your choice
¼ cup dark beer (I use Guinness0
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon hot sauce (I use Cholula)
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon mustard powder
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Place all ingredients in the work bowl of a food processor except the salt and pepper. Process until the mixture is very smooth, pausing occasionally to scrape down the sides. Season with the salt and pepper, and chill at least one hour before serving. Can be made up to two days ahead.
