For the third summer in a row, we have conducted an herb garden workshop for children in a Southwest Detroit  summer enrichment program. This year’s theme was “Plant A Fairy Garden”, and the children loved it. They had an assortment of plants, combined with pebbles and shells for “landscaping”.  Each child takes home their fairy garden to share with their family and friends..  

After the workshop, we visited Labrosse Farm in Corktown, where they specialize in tomatoes & herbs. You can find them at the Corktown Farmers Market on Thursdays, and in Shed 2 at Eastern Market Corporation on Saturdays. Check out their website at http://labrossefarm.com/
